It's 5 am. I woke up at 2, more awake than I realized I could be. More awake than I ever am. I wasn't stressed. Or worried. I was just...awake. Extremely awake.
So I'm going to run the San Francisco Marathon. This will be my first marathon and I don't mind telling you I'm a-scared about it. It's not the running part that concerns me. I know it will be a tremendous challenge, but my training is on-track and I believe I will have time, with continued training, to get prepared to run the 26 miles, 385 yards. It will be grueling, but I expect that.
Herodotus, I need some advice.
I'm starting to see the appeal of this whole blogging thing. It was so neat to get a few great comments about my post, and now it's great to be able to respond. It's like having a conversation with all of the coolest people you know AND all the coolest people THEY know. Forgive me if I run a little long, but I want to respond to what was said:
Cody and I have been together for 14 years. We live in the state of California, which has apparently just today made it possible to get hitched. I think that's swell. Really, I do. I think that gay people should have the same rights as everybody else.
I have a cold and probably won't be able to run today, which disappoints me terribly.
Have you seen those commercials for some running shoe that say: "Running knows you want to stay in bed. Running doesn't care." Or "You and Running broke up awhile back. But now you see Running every where. And Running is looking GOOD." Sad to say, I really relate to those. Right now, I feel like a kid stuck at home sick on a Saturday.

VATICAN CITY (AP) — Believing that the universe may contain alien life does not contradict a faith in God, the Vatican's chief astronomer said in an interview published Tuesday. The Rev. Jose Gabriel Funes, the Jesuit director of the Vatican Observatory, was quoted as saying the vastness of the universe means it is possible there could be other forms of life outside Earth, even intelligent ones.
Thales the Owl walked into his local Baskin-Robbins and stood with his beak at the glass, trying to pick a flavor.
I'm going to share with you my application to Pacific School of Religion. I'm applying to their Masters of Divinity program (sounds like dessert school). I think this is a good way to introduce myself, since the application pretty-much forces you to talk about yourself and your history.
Well. Here we are. Late to the party, as usual. No doubt Blogging will be passe' by the time this gets posted. I've been wanting to start a blog for years, but I was involved in Web Development and Strategy for a living for so long that I simply didn't want to do anything web-related for fun.
